Nicely robust and full bodied for a Gamay while also refreshing and enjoyable. Mix of blackberries and ripe plums along with dark cherry, strawberry and a hint of cinnamon. Had slightly chilled with amazing Nomad Pizza in Princeton on a hot summer day. Perfect!

If you know me, you know I'm a Beaujolais nut. I haven't particularly enjoyed most 15s. They're hot, flabby, muddled, and confused. #NotMyBeaujolais HOWEVER, this is the first 2015 that I've really loved. Just goes to show what wine in the hands of a master can be. Even in a hot vintage like 2015, Foillard really worked some magic. This wine was not lacking in acid. So juicy. Mouth watering. Clean and precise. Happy juice. Smile inducing.

Yes! A great representation of what can become of gamay from a Cru village wine. The typical esters are there on the nose but the overall fruit and some darker tertiary flavours are present. A bit light on the palate despite the 14% but this is made up for by the long delicate spicy-flowery finish.
