This 2012 Pomerol is showing beautifully, though I found the 2011 which I will report next to be more tempting and rich. A blend of Merlot, CF and CS, deep black color, aromas of Black Forest fruits, cherries, coffee and smoked oak, full body with dry tannins and good acidity, long dry finish. Still very tight and dry and needs time to open up, my score 88, drink 2017-2028, perhaps longer.

Very dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, anise and flowers, very velvety and smooth in the mouth with asian spices and discrete oak notes. Its very modern in style but not overdone and has a whole lot of charm. Excellent bottle.
