USA : KENTUCKY : LAWRENCEBURG While their Single Barrel is made from one yeast recipe (OBSV), the Small Batch is a blend of four-- OBSO, OBSK, OESK, OESO-- two high rye, and two low rye versions of two yeast strains. The sweet corn shines through in the Small Batch intertwining beautifully with the spice of the rye. The oak is more present with notes of warm vanilla, sweet oak, and caramel coming through on the nose. There is a fruity aroma as well. On the palate, it is creamy, with notes of mellowed spice and ripe berries. It is soft and smooth on the finish.
