Rich but bright, passionate and full of color and flavor. The proper volley between fruit and baguette. Serious but doesn’t take itself so.

I'm note really into my sauvage rosé champagnes because too often they are too sweet for my taste. This one is bone try. Still big on the strawberries though. Dried strawberries, perhaps?

No dosage in 55% PN, 30% PM, 15% Chard. Almost red. Berries and minerals. Grippy and taut, yet rich.

Ringer in our Brut Rosé tasting this week. Nearly red, didn't fit in. Fruity and simple. Pleasant.

First things first, that color. Supremely unique, exotically eye catching. A scarlet robe with medium intense fine bubbles. The nose is absolutely bursting with red fruit and yeasty aromas. Blood orange, raspberries, and pomegranate leaps from the glass. Mandarin orange and freshly baked bread also show up. 60% Pinot Noir, with 20% of that being still wine explains the color and profile. Creamy and sexy, this is a highly intense champagne with a ton of character. Quite vinous, it’s rich and alluring. Very well balanced with enough complexity and nice acidity. Juicy on the palate with more ripe red fruit showing off. Just a hint of brioche but strawberries, black cherries, and lingonberry dominate. More blood orange and tangerines mingle with black tea and a drizzle of honey. This is what you’re looking for. Excellent stuff.

Deep scarlet in color because of the extra amount of Pinot Noir with plenty of tiny bubbles. A wild nose of black and red berries mixed with blood orange, cinnamon, and herbs de Provence. This is an intense champagne and it doesn’t skimp on complexity either. Drinking more like a red wine at times, there’s an almost rusticity at first but soon evolves into a more structured and elegant pour. The brioche and roasted nuts are still here on the mid palate, along with warm Eastern spices. Creamy on the palate with blackberries, strawberries, and herbs. This was such a fun unconventional sparkler.
