Great stone and bright fruit. Lovely with appetizers.

Absolutely perfect. Everything I want in a blend, with all the Cab Franc nuances I crave.

Vinca minor babrak vineyard merlot/cab franc. 2014. Just a ton of wet stone, dried cranberries, and pepper. Aftertaste has a jolly rancher cherry quality. Interested to see how this evolves overnight.

De-stemmed fruit, co-fermented after gentle pressing into neutral barrels, then bottled unfined/filtered without SO2. At first this wine had a savory irony note, but after an hour that dissipated and revealed a beautiful and complex fruits of the forest character--dark cherry, blackberry, raspberry, cranberry, with some heady citrus freshness and a hint of something green like fresh parsley. So...Is "punchy" a word we can use when describing wine? The fruit is just so there and so fresh, and little savoriness, low-medium body, medium+ acid, and light tannins make for insane drinkability.
