Another Stoumen gem, you can taste the straw and clay, a COS cousin (where Stoumen made wine for a while) moved to CA.

Distinctive blend of colombard and roussane. Bright, citrusy, and with a slight grainy texture (in a good way). Cloudy from the unfiltered lees.

Smell is floral honey (can’t quite get flower), slight clay moss, taste is tart, honey with sugar like think mead then mossy floral with a soft buttery end that makes the month feel the soft sediment as if lotioned but the acid is predominant , color is a raw effervescent yellow, the acid is sweet and complex and the herbs don’t bite which makes it numbing but it’s subtle! Which is cool.
