opened too early, should have decanted - i.e. super bright/acidic. better on second day. pretty well balanced, peach is the overwhelming flavor profile.

Dark fruits on the nose, off dry, well balanced, wonderful acidity, medium finish.

Nice, would prefer if CA didn’t oak everything, the vanilla here is not overpowering but seems out of place.

That is a superb food wine. Tense and rough at the pop of the cork, and then a smooth mama-jama once the lasagne landed.

All in all just a great day at NatDiego - 2018. Was expecting to find a few gems among the unwashed natty masses, but was impressed by the overall quality and drink ability of most wines. This Las Jaras wine was bottled on Wednesday and needs a lot more than three days to strut. Very tight at the moment. Love Carignan and hope to try this again in a year or two.
