Still lots of exuberant red and purple fruit, white pepper, woodsy tones, violets, some animal and herbaceous highlights. Continue to love following this wine as it ages. Structurally seems in a great place, not sure how much it will improve

Another memorably great bottle of this. Just two left. Will I have the patience to allow them to reach full potential? Most likely not but so good now. I love the bouquet of violets, pepper, herbs and bloody raw meat

Holy moly I love this wine. Rush of violets and blackberries, potpourri, black currant, licorice, creamy texture but still plenty of structure.

Amphorae aged Mondeuse. Wow. Such a cool wine.

Violets, exotic spice, sandalwood on the nose, blood orange and red currant and blackberries and more floral flavors, thyme. Beguiling, feminine, like a lighter style Northern Rhone

Never had the Mondeuse grape... Or an Amphorae aged wine ( that I know of). For that, it was a cool experience. Thanks for the delectable advice to let it sit a day or two... As the first try tasted sour like baby spit up. This was tough to overcome... But the end of day two it started to behave.

Didn't know Belluard was doing Mondeuse. Incredible smell, really beautiful aromas. The taste is remarkable as well, especially the first flavors, berries, spice but then there is something unbalanced to me, that has to deal with the dryness and a touch of sourness. Not sure what...

This producer always imparts a fascinating terroir imprint--texturally and aromatically conveys a sense of clay-driven earthiness, with peppery red and black fruit.

Amphora aged Mondeuse. It sounds like something out of a Somm II parody. @Alexander Littauer served this up blind. Vibrant crimson with herbaceous white pepper and extremely cool-climate blackberry and brambles. Pine forests. Persistent finish. Medium alcohol and singing high acidity. Reminds me of a lower alcohol, leaner Arnot-Roberts QSS. Lovely!
