XXIV. Epic. Sean Thackery knows what he's doing! This new blend is so smooth. It is a definite glug-glug wine. All kinds of fruits. Absolutely delicious.

Take a bunch of random red grapes (Sangiovese, Pinot, Zin, etc), coferment with some white grapes, add a little stardust . . . Magic!

Rose, black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, all super ripe; black pepper, game, tar, stones, smoke. Makes me imagine Enkidu after Gilgamesh "civilized" him.

I like this wine. I do. For around $20 you can pick this bottle up too. The color is a lame ruby (lame as in not bright, not not cool) and the nose has red fruits and a ton of black pepper and other spices. The palate, meanwhile, shows off tarter red fruit and even more of that crazy black pepper. There's little acid to carry the wine through and the finish seemingly drops off a bit on the finish and palate. This field blend is a hell of a deal, I just rant around the middle.

Lots of red fruit with a touch of orange marmalade stuck in for good measure. Very easy to drink.
