Was expecting much more. The nose was inviting, fresh and fruity. The palate disappointed and was weak dark fruit. More like a basic Cotes du Rhone.

"This dark, inky red is one you should absolutely have this bottle on hand for hard days, chilly spring nights and meaty summer bbqs. It's 80% Tannat, a tannic, dark-purple, thick skinned varietal that must be hand-harvested because the stubborn grapes are too tough for machines to shake from the vines, and there's 20% Cabernet Sauvignon for good measure. The wine is intense, but super well balanced; masculine, with a soft side. It craves deep conversation or a really good movie, and maybe some grilled meat too. $15"

Interesting, dry yet plenty of fruit, firm. Never had a Tannat before. I would be interested to see how this taste after a few years. Still a great buy

Open next year and let breathe for 8hrs. Presently had after open for >48h. Dark forest fruits and floral. Low tannins. Low acidity. Youthful aroma with low intensity.
