Hugely tannic. Floral on end. First. Dinner with Jess and Greg!

Softer and more feminine with a modern flare. Would have guessed Barbaresco.

Smooth with dark currant and vanilla throughout. Tastes far older than its age would suggest.

2010. Decanted for over an hour. Still very tight but the fruit, earthy, and meaty aromas and flavors did come out. Tannins did build up but the wine went so good with the lamb crepinette and wagyu sirloin.

Barolo is supposed to be the wine king for your classic fatty steak. Needs to be opened 5 hours before in the bottle or an hour before in a decanter.

Dark, dry, tannic, floral with a good dose of acidity.
