The fantastic Jean Paul Brun. He makes great, pure wines. Love his Chardonnay. #everydaygems

Pale lemon in color with a yellow tint. Nice nose of white flowers, lemons, citrus, apples, pears, herbs, vegetables and grass. Medium to full body with medium plus acidity, crisp and refreshing. Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices and white pepper. Medium minus on the finish with bitter almonds and herbs. A nice, yet simple Beaujolais white. Refreshing and crisp with a nice balance. A good food wine. I like the fact that it is Unoaked and feels pure, with a succulent nose, but somewhat bitter on the ending. 12% alcohol by volume.

Nice, crisp, stony nose. Interesting contrast with the brothy character of the minerality of nearby Macon.

Clean and direct. Drinks like a Chablis from a not-so-chilly year all up until the finish, where it falls on its face. That being said, easy drinking stainless steel Chardonnay.

Light, playful, earthy. More depth and meatiness as it warmed up. A Weimaraner puppy on a sunny lawn.

First Beaujolais Blanc. Simple and clean, I'm guessing stainless fermentation with malolactic and some light lees treatment. Nose is very neutral, showing wet granite and quartz, saline, lees-y yeastiness, and oddly enough, a distinct Pecorino Pepato note. Palate shows very much the same plus a bit of underripe apple. Acidity is med. (+), body is medium (-) but has a but of an oily texture due to (suspected, not totally sure) lees treatment. Almost like a sur lie Muscadet. Not bad but very simple and one note. It's relative neutrality would make it decently food friendly though, which is nice. Was actually really nice with some mild "goat Brie" cheese we had. Liked it better with that than by itself.
