On the nose; mostly reductive in style with a hint of oxidation, Bosc pear, bruised apples, ginger soda, overly ripe pineapple, quince, saline, chalky minerals and weathering yellow lilies. Nice acidity and rich polished finish. I enjoy the Brut Reserve but not as much as their N/V Rosé. Photos of their amazing Estate, Estate interior, dusty & moldy cellar and vineyard staff tending vines. Heading to BS rehab & weening my way off BS Rosé via their Brut Reserve.

It was great to learn about the Billecart range straight from Antoine Billecart. The base wine for the current bottling is almost entirely Meunier, with the 40% reserves being split between three different harvests of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The wine was so clean and refined with lots of pristine white fruit as well as cream and just a touch of baguette. A treat!

It's an oxidative style but not overdone. Bruised golden apple & pear, pineapple sour, golden raisin, citrus blend, quince, baked bread, citrus, yellow floral, but skin, crisp acidity, nice grainy chalkiness, gritty volcanic minerals and a nice, long, rich slightly cream soda finish.
