GUARANTEED BEST PROVENANCE: IMPORTED BY AIR FROM ITALY AND STOCKED IN CALIFORNIA 2015 Trebbiano from Emidio Pepe? Yes! Not yet available from the US importer, I've hunted them down and flown them over to the US to share. These are fresh bottles imported directly from Italy where Emidio Pepe releases wines earlier to a very hungry Italian wine crowd. Now you can join them too, exclusively through Dall'Uva. Emidio's Trebbiano is a pretty special wine, and you'll want to open this and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before diving in. Funky at first on the nose, but evolving into something lovely with a lot of complexity. It shines with yellow apple, dried hay and herbal notes. Medium to full-bodied with good acid structure, tasty minerality and very long on the finish. I love this wine. Bottle Size: 750 ml Alcohol: 13.5%

Very good I hadn't had the trebbiano from Pepe for a looong time and the feeling is still similar It needs time to open up When young the palate is better than the nose It is long and enjoyable What has changed in time is unfortunately the price and i wondered if that is due to the market or because it has been harder to source or work the grapes I used to pay it less than 15 euros back in Italy and I understand that time flies, but here in Melbourne this is on the shelf for 140 dollars. I thank @Giulio Bignozzi for sharing this with me, but I struggle to realise the dynamics about its pricing..or maybe I just don't want to. For 30 or 40 euros I would be happy to buy and drink this, but for 140 dollars I would pick elsewhere perhaps It is also a natural wine if I remember well and I reckon there should be a bit of ethic behind that too. Still a very good wine nonetheless, but i couldn't keep the critic for myself.

Vintage 2015 | a lot to discover. Elegance. Pepper, but above all a fascinating minerality. Interesting. Great balance.

Strange petrol nose, with preserved Meyer lemon and but fascinating minerality. Dying to try this again.

The people’s champ - funky and savory on the nose but with a clean crisp almost salty finish, perfect with anchovies in olive oil. Can’t wait to drink again without a party of 4. #emidiopepe

The conundrum of supreme freshness meets aged brilliance. Orange blossom and lemon, petrol and wax. Oily as fuck. Oxidative. Carmelized lemon peel. Tight acid. Reminds me of my favorite aged wines but not as old. Fruit stripe gum. This is bottle 1 of 2 for us. This can prob age a long while longer. Will save bottle 2 for a while...
