This is an all-star producer and look forward to trying this again in 10–15 years. The 14 is really beautiful, it’s rich, thick, ruby, ripe and dark. The tannins are velvety backed up with scorched earth. The violets sing at this this stage. The fruits are dark and slightly rustic. Grilled savory meats, blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries & strawberries haunt the back palate. Graphite, dry crushed rocks, dry top soil, dry herbs, leather, tobacco with ash, round beautiful acidity, a rich, ripe, elegant, long, beautiful finish. Shouldn’t even think about opening the 14 for another 10 years plus. I would take this over the Sine Qua Non any day and be the happier given their price points.
