A very nice and gorgeous nose of red fruit, raspberries, strawberries, soft spices and a touch of red pepper, without this being the focal point. A soft, balanced and harmonious wine, not the most powerful Rougeard I drank, but elegant, classy and delicious. 91-92+ Superbe nez fin, délicat et assez complexe de Fruits rouges, framboises, fraises, épices douces et avec du poivron rouge aussi mais sans être trop végétal. Une bouche harmonieuse et équilibrée, en finesse et délicatesse surtout, avec une belle longueur. 91-92

Very pumped to try this, especially for less than the current retail price on the list at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans. One of the more aromatically beautiful wines I’ve had in a long time, with green pepper, some dark earthy / tobacco notes, but a great bit of florality as well. Fine grained tannins with good acidity on the finish. A very complete wine that paired well with a relatively diverse tasting menu. Excellent and a lot of fun.
