One of the best reds I've had in a while. Still needs 5 years in the cellar.

2003 Typification of Rhone. Leave it for at least another five.

I had this wine a few weeks ago and quite frankly was disappointed. I am happy to report that this bottle was much better. This is a fantastic wine. Notes of smoked meats, blueberries and creme de cassis. The finish last 60 seconds. This is still a young wine and will continue to improve with age.

Big, dense and full throttle nose of asphalt, soy and olive over slightly roasted plum, blackberry and preserved mulberry fruit. Dense and full on palate with incredible extract. tannins and fruit match nicely but fruit is a touch muted and jammy. It delivers the intensity but not complexity. Perhaps it needs more time.

Absolutely stunning. One of the 5 finest Northern Rhones I have had. Nose is vibrant with earth, pepper, soy, cassis and plum. Incredibly complex. Palate is amazing with focus, energy and perfect tannins.

A perfect wine according to RP & JD but not my style as this seemed overripe, hot & disjointed,
