Effortless. So lithe and fine but with awesome power and vitality. Delicious. Evolves and unfolds in the glass. Great wine.

Very carbonic nose. Red cherries, cranberry, mulberry bog, spices, some earth and mineral. Delicate and nuanced. Expansive and deep. Great nose. Classic Foillard CDP. Palate is focused like a laser. Juicy, complex, fresh and structured. As far as carbonic bojo goes this is hard to beat. A baby now but so balanced, complete, complex and classic. Terrific.

Telltale (but under control) barnyard funk livens the tangy red fruit and crushed granite on the nose. Cleaner in the mouth, with great intensity but very lively acid balance. Lip-smackingly good.

Vicious attack of VA that falls away after 15 minutes. Unveiled, is fresh & punchy black & red berries. Major fruit depth boomerangs from tart to ripe, with balanced VA that lifts its secondary notes. Lovely Cote du Py indeed from 2011

Typical bojo raspberries, boysenberry, tomato-y iodine quality. There’s more structure here compared w/the rest of the gang.

Don’t want to be a hater but why, oh why, does Foillard always have to be bretty? VA. Muddled. A bit tired of the same old. Maybe my taste is evolving. Sample size tonight is two bottles from 2017.

Delicious albeit somewhat different year from Foillard. Lacked a little purity and freshness, but that doesn’t mean it was a subpar experience at all. Muddled, brambly fruit, spices, wilted flowers, animal and savory. Structured and with some rustic grip, which I liked.
