Very round. Good tanginess, excellent wax touch to complicate the texture. Very fruity grapey, but there are white flowers and lemon skin on the nose. Ginger, herbs like mint and some white chocolate in the grapey mouth. Maybe I’ll come back with more tomorrow. Not very experienced with MT. This one is more gulpable than the bundsandstein, which is waxier, with an almost camphorated lemon note, more complicated and slightly more elegant and demanding. This is the fun party variety. Honestly I’d probably really dig a 50/50 blend in a glass.

Very shy right now with a touch of pineapple, some apricot, fresh grass, a hint of blanched almonds. Quite fresh. On the palate this is light yet with a creamy mouthfeel, a bit of volatile acidity and great flow. Spicy, slightly funky, delightfully drinkable. Typical E&M.

The 2018 is unlike any other unser Mueller I had since E&M made this wine. Previously this wine was clearly ‘orange’ and could have in some vintages Kambucha like properties. I loved every single vintage in fact it is my favorite white E&M. The 2018 is in a league of its own a serious wine at a stupendous low price. More acidic than previous vintages. Lemon thyme hint of Riesling ‘diesel’. Stone fruit. Meyer Lemon. Orange zest. Great match for asian food or scallops in a white wine sauce. Highly recommended. Impressive.
