Loamy soil and wet gravel notes meet stewed plums laced with lifted bright cherry scents on the nose. Red currants and juicy plums wrapped in leather on the initial attack with deeper plum and anise flavors on the mid-palate. Finishes with well balance acidity and soft, smooth tannins. Displays elegance but still packs a back end punch .Challenging vintage in 2008, so this bottle is made with top cuvée. Excellent QPR! Drinking well now but still has a few years under its belt.
