Vincent Dauvissat "Séchet" Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2014 (750ml 6bottle)

9.17 ratings on Delectable
$497.88

From 50+ year-old vines on hard white chalk-laced soils, delivers a blend of ripe fruit and classic Chablis stoniness. "Tight nose hints at crushed stone and menthol, plus a whiff of petrol. Tactile, intense and clean; shows strong minerality and acidity, and nervosité that comes from calcaire, and yet it's not austere. A lovely ripe peach flavor emerged with air.” Vinous 90-92

A little too much wine for Chablis in my opinion but well made

Popped and poured at a restaurant. Great youthful color. The nose is memorable with citrus, stone, chalk and grapefruit notes. Nice acidity to match the rich fruit. Really good stuff.
