Ken Wright Cellars Abbott Claim Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

A vineyard that I’ve underestimated in the past and that it handles heat well. Planted to a mixture of Pommard and Dijon clones. Both the clones and the soils incline Abbott Claim towards a distinctive spice and floral focus, and in 2014 it's showing lovely red fruit and floral notes on top with minerality underneath. Pretty, pretty, wine.

Lovely on the eye with brick/Orange moving to white around the rim. Nose is everything you'd want and expect from Willamette Pinot- tobacco, some oak, dark, tart cherries. Palette sees bright red raspberries and ripe cherries, balanced acid and tannins with medium+ acid and long finish. Delightful!
