A great example of the old Bordeaux varietal Carmenere as grown in meticulously farmed vineyards in Chile. Fresh blue and black fruit gets lift and complexity from a handful of tobacco and dried herb and support from firm, lightly chewy, tannins. A fine match for lamb and excellent value. "A fresh and dry carmenere with medium body, firm tannins and a subtle, fruity finish." JS 91
