Opened a bit tight, bit after 30 minutes the bouquet showed lovely cassis, mushrooms and cedar. Beautifully balanced in mouth with lush fruit, good acidity and soft tannins that melted away. Long, strong finish with the great depth and elegant merlot dominance showing through. Sensational!

This is outrageous. I am blown away. Cab franc, merlot dominated with some cab sav and malbec. It is so silk smooth and beautiful as the tannins have aged gorgeously. Old world meets new world Bordeaux. Enticing nose of mountain berries and Cassis. The palate is so smooth yet full of life with similar notes as well as dark cherry pie burnt burnt ember and a finish that goes on and on and on. Really spectacular. Wow

Good, but it be great to have it again in 10 years. Its a wine made for aging, and its still missing quite some time in the bottle.

Well balanced, held up nicely to the tri tip. But of spice and fruit. V2005
