2012: Rolling the dice that this would show well at such an early stage. Velvety mouthfeel, exhibiting abundant fresh cherry flavors. Refined, supple with a long elegant finish, with the fruit completely masking any sensation of tannins. No reason not to open and enjoy this now.

This Merlot dominated blend really opened up beautifully with a couple hours of air. Spiced sugar plum nose with whiffs of burnt embers and hot tar. The palate is full of ripe black cherries and plum cut by formidable balsam wood. The palate finishes with notes of tonic bitters as well as the resounding fruits. Very well put together and complex.
