A wee bit precocious at this early stage if its development, but the stuffing offs there to make this a long term cellar candidate. I firmly believe that patience will be rewarded.

Following up from the 100point 2010- they skipped 2011- and the 2012 is oozing quality, even if just a little shy at the moment but there's plenty of stuffing there.

Cedar, mint, leather, violets, vanilla, pepper, tar, baking spice, cherries, blackcurrant, hard candy, rosemary, pine and oak. Tick all that apply. - Tick ✅ soft tannins with layers of complexity, worth the spend and no doubt it will get better and better.

95% Shiraz with 5% of Viognier - very well made and balanced.

Big, dense and ripe. From vines cloned from Rhone before the phylloxera. I just love this wine. Comparing it to the d'Ampuis is a little like comparing the thinner more acidic Bordeaux to the California cabs.

Gorgeous! Reminiscent of all the things I love about my favorite Rhone styles. I don't know why people let trends effect their judgement, but everybody needs to get their minds right about Australia. Torbreck produces some incredible juice!!!

Medium plus ruby-purple to a ruby rim. Tightly wound, tight and dense nose. Blackberry - perfectly ripe and muscular. Slight smoked meat savoriness. White pepper. Unlike rhone there's a tone of super-intense jammy, almost syrupy fruit. But there's so much complexity here as well. Sweet vanillin toast - well-integrated French oak. A hint of menthol/eucalyptus. Medium plus body, high alcohol - 15%. Elevated acid, and medium tannins. Persistent, concentrated, and refined. This is really good - not the most complex, but the fruit character is so friggen good.
