This reminded me of the “dog food” analogy - meaning, this isn’t quite ready for human consumption. @Robert Evans Jr needs to do his job and post all the wines... This was good, but not great in my mind. Herbs and tobacco on the mid palate. Still a tannic monster. Good structure, but should have decanted this. Hold on to this vintage.

Similar to January but starting to sense the ‘06 will be one of those earlier maturing Orenos. Brunello maraschino cherry. Class act but after 2 this week thinking drink up.

‘06 impressed. Needed a full hour to sort out - do not P&P - but when it did, iodine-infused black and red sour cherries. Beautifully framed, nicely lifted. Nose of dusty Brunello. years to go.

Disappointing. Shades of gray. Slightly tart finish. Overall, a lack luster showing. Recorked and praying for a devine intervention overnight

This 2006 once again astounded and astonished me with its grace and elegance. Paired with Sunday gravy it presided over our meal with soulful decadence and the queen of Tuscana. I'm in love.

Full-bodied and delicious. Tasting blackberries, cedar, leather, prunes, and a hint of licorice. Well-integrated tannins and a long, satisfying finish.

Ink with watery rim. Surprised it wasn’t brickening yet. Dark fruit, currant and cassis. Smoke and tobacco. Notes of mint. Velvety texture for a medium plus body and medium acidity supertuscan. Would have loved a lift in the mid palate but a nice wine with persistent finish. 50% Sangiovese 25% Cab S and 25% Merlot.
