Delicious dark fruits and fragrant nose, opening up as time passed after uncorking. The tannins have all but melted away and the wine is fully mature and drinking beautifully. A little surprised that the mid palate was not as heavy as expected but it could be the impact of the 19 years of aging.

Super solid just not wowed like the past bottling I’ve had. Well integrated tannins and tons of tertiary notes that is just missing the necessary fruit id prefer.

2001 vintage. Found this little gem in a dark spot at bottom of cellar. Forgot about it. Would have liked to open 5 years ago but fun to see what evolves. A dearth of fruit but plenty to enjoy. Finishes a tad tart but lots of tobacco which is superb with the Cohiba in my hand. Happy Holidays!
