Deep Ruby color and very expressive nose of blackberry, wild blueberry, dried lavender, and mocha. Black currant, black cherry, red currant, black fig, and subtle notes of fresh sage and leather with just a hint of oaky vanilla and toast. Exquisite balance. Coombsville is a relatively cool area for Napa (near Yountville) and that lends the wine a bracing acidity that puts the mineral notes in sharp relief. Just a lovely wine and already very drinkable.
