Outpost 2009 Le nez est enivrant, il embaume la pièce de fruit noir et de vanille. On le carafe car je me doute qu’il doit être costaud. En bouche c’est pareil, les fruits noirs, ( cassis, bleuets, mures), vanille, le bois est encore présent et ne s’estompe pas avec le passage en carafe, le vin est tout d’un bloc, texture soyeuse, l’acidité structure bien le tout. Ca se boit très bien mais il manque vraiment de complexité malheureusement, il n’a pas l’effet wow que je recherchais.

I’ve been ambivalent about 2009 Napa Cabs for a while, but based on a few recent bottles I think they are starting to really come around. This Outpost was really quite lovely tonight with excellent Cabernet fruit and ample structure. Beginning to drink nicely, but no hurry.
