Lush & concentrated, typical big mid-palates ... from Howell MT, even on a more challenging vintage such as this. On a side-note - What’s been said about 2011‘s, disagree with when they have come from this AVA. Generally so appealing to the crowds, carries nice weight for a 11. Quite delicious . Pull the cork & enjoy shortly afterwards.

Nice juice from Minnesota folk to wrap up a nice evening. This has been laying down a while and the tannins are smoothed out, taking a back seat to ample dark fruits. It all results in a super dark and juicy wine in the glass with a soft texture.

Day 8 of our 24 day Amazon cruise. Ate at Prego, a speciality restaurant on the ship. Had Veal Marsala, probably not the best paring but enjoyable, and may have impacted my score. Should have had the tenderloin with this wine.

Big and bold. Lots of fruit but well balanced and very approachable. perfect with a ribeye prepared beautifully by @Joe Conti . I think we opened a 2010 a few months back, this 2011 showed better. I've had plenty of good 2011s from an alleged down year.
