So I said I was going to dry out today. Then I open my fridge and was greeted by Masseto. I could not walk away. It has not budged and is no different from how it presented yesterday. @David A Lentine and @Martin G Rivard brought these (yes, we had more than one). Love you guys for that.

The tsunami has arrived. Pure merlot with no escape valve. Tight and compact, with exceptional oak treatment. Notes of expresso, linze torte and a layering of ripe dark fruits. First Masseto and it could not be better. This has another 15 yrs of runway ahead of it.
