Can't tell if it is me or the wine but this came of as screechingly acidic. Still, good stuff.

This has a very distinct flavour profile for a NV champagne. It's appearance is pale lemon in colour. The nose is clean and pronounced. There is fruit, lemon and lime and maybe a touch of stone fruit. That is on the back though, what is very noticeable is the bready, yeasty character and the layers that is being created. The palate is dry with high acid, medium alcohol. The body is full, pronounced flavour intensity (similar to the nose) with a long complex finish. A lovely champagne.

Krug 163rd Edition Grande Cuvee. With Olivier, Stan and Jay. Light and ethereal, young and slightly closed at first. Toasty, with citrus lemon curd. On the palate, energetic and lively, high acidity, medium body and alcohol, medium plus concentration of favour and good finish. Youthful but clearly will improve from herein out. Drink now until 2036.
