Murky dark tawny color. Opaque. Exotic nose with notes of briary herbs and black fruit, pepper, menthol, cassis and some wood. Opulent and rich in the mouth. More fruit than the Calon Segur. Great balance of fruit and structure. Memorable finish.

Out of magnum. Once again a wine that has loads of time left in its life cycle. Seemed a decade younger (don't we all wish we could say that about ourselves!). Surprisingly for me it was the first time I've had the 91 and felt it was more Napa then Bdx. Thank you @Lawrence Rozenberg and Gina for bringing this.

My favorite drinking Cali wine. I purchased 8 - 6 packs of this wine upon release $40 btl based on RP notes and have drank almost 30+ btls. The 91 Dominus has been the favorite of our tasting group in every blind tasting that we have done against the 82, 86 Mouton & 82 & 86 Lafite. This is one of the greatest California wines ever made. I I have bought Dominus every year and always wonder why no other winery makes a wine like this in Napa.
