1.5 hour decant(decent fine/chunky sediment). A majestic inky dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: beautiful notes of red plum, smoked meat, little herbal funk, blueberry, smidge of wet sandalwood. Taste: Kaboom..firing on all cylinders. Smooth, layered, juicy, rich mouth coating wine with blackberry pie, smokey, cocoa, and a peppery-cedar-cherry LONG finish. YUM! Drinks well with the decant and more years to go.

1.5 hour decant(lots of fine/cloudy sediment). A dazzling inky dark crimson color. On the nose: red plum, blueberry, leather, slight herbal funk, little gamey, and sandlewood. Taste: Its all here...power, finesse, layered, rich wine with black cherry, cocoa, smoke, minerals, and a spiced cedar long finish. Goes great with the prime rib Christmas dinner. Cheers!

Two hours of decanting and the vultures feasted on this beauty. It was outstanding and a real treat.

Start by saying this needs more time and could def see it approaching perfection if it ages well. Big captivating nose of blackberries, warm road tar, and hints of violet. Palate bursts forth with smokey ember notes juxtaposition against ripe plums and dark berries. Napa meets st Emilion. The finish is a touch too tannic right now as it masks what will surely be more nuance that currently appear a full minute after sipping. Special wine it will prob be better in 2 + years.

First time trying this big bold wine. Not sure if the decanting is what did it but this was earthy and smokey yet left big dark fruit on the palate. A remarkable blend.
