Nose has a full fruit flavor. Mild flavors of blackberry, raspberry and a bit of cloves. The wine has medium tannins which bring about medium dryness, but has a medium body and a very smooth feel overall. There is also a nice light to medium spice on the end as well. Although my preference is for a less "earthy" flavoring, this wine is an exceptional representation for the region at a quality price. This one really needs some time to open up for full flavor.

Dark ruby hue. Medium-plus tannins and acidity. Notes of bell pepper, blackberry, blueberry, bramble, and tar. Stark on the nose, but brilliant and smooth on the palate, with grippy tannins. 51 Merlot, 42 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 7 Petit Verdot.

“What Bordeaux should taste like.” Tashie. Great QPR estephe with a bit of bottle on it. Every sip you notice a different flavor but definitely has graphite, plums, herbs d Provence, and nice integrated tannins.

Enjoyed with dinner. This went really well with olive tapenade and hummus. Nose is tobacco, green pepper, dirty fig. Entry is earthy black fruit. Mushroom and a bit of plum. A slight bit savory. Middle goes to dried tobacco but brown grapestem and green pepper . Finish is funky. The hummus and olive tapenade took full advantage of the funk elements here. Seemed to be definitely more earthy than the other bottle enjoyed a couple of years before. Enjoyable for a budget Bordeaux.

Very bizarre menthol flavour in addition to traditional Bordeaux flavours of black currant, stable and some spice.
