No notes taken. A good 2nd Growth from St Estephe. Savoury palate finishing dry.

Dense, powerful, structured, blackberry, black raspberry, iron, cedar, long finish. Best after 2 hours decanted.

08' Chateau Montrose. Just opened. Even on this so called challenging vintage, what a great bottle of wine. Hold.

Very dark rubi robe, looks so young. Very fresh nose of blackcurrant, flowers and cedar. Medium bodied, polished tannins, oh so good. But better in 5 years for sure. We like it a lot.

Go easy with air. After an hour decant, I found this underwhelming. It was open and soft, but with the air it lacked complexity and depth. My bad for not tasting prior to the decant.

Just incredibly smooth and balanced. Blueberries, blackberries, cinnamon, and some notes of cedar. Probably would be better with time but babies don’t care about drinking windows. Welcome Rhys.

This was definitely closed at first, and took longer to open up. Eventually had nice blackcurrant and cigar box aroma, good length. Not a hint of age.
