Defiantly paulliac when tasted blind but underwhelming, light and restrained for latour.

Maybe I didn't get the best bottle. A bit bret dominant and short on the finish.

Celebrating with a couple of fun bottles tonight. 2 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A stunning dark garnet with bricking. On the nose: lightly fragrant notes of stewed red fruit, cassis, floral, little cigar box, herbaceous. Taste: silky, elegant, soft wine with a great mix of dark plum, currants, iron, scorched earth, tobacco, and cedar/bitter chocolate medium plus finish. YUM! Drinks well with the decant and more time to go.

Sitting back enjoying the evening waiting for another hurricane to hit later tonight. This was still youthful after 20 yrs showing notes of black & red fruit, cassis, spice box, pencil shavings, earth, mineral, leather, menthol & tobacco.

Reminiscent of our time at Chateau Latour—a classic left bank Bordeaux. Color—crimson red with light bricking. Nose—soothing perfume black cherry, pepper spice with notes of eucalyptus, cinnamon, forest floor and earth like scents. A berry fruit, cassis and cedar taste with a dry medium plus pencil lead finish. Will enjoy this wine as we await bringing in the New Year!

1 hour decant (lots of sediment). An amazing dark ruby red color with some bricking. On the nose: nice mellow nose draws you in with sweet black cherry, eucalyptus, little funky earth, wet forest floor, and oak. Taste: silky smooth medium body wine with red berries, cedar, cassis, and a dry pencil lead medium plus finish. Pop one if you got em it will not disappoint! Cheers!

Very good bottle, bright fruit still, after 20 minutes of decanting the fruit gave way to Cabernet dominant aromas. Smoked dried green herbs, eucalyptus, fresh figs. The tannins were well rounded yet firm and the acidity was present yet not overly intense. This was a great example of a great producer making an excellent bottle of wine in a tougher vintage.
