Excellent 2005! When it was young it was full throttle, fruit driven with blue and black fruits. Now it still has that fruit but also some lovely secondary notes (espresso, truffle, asphalt and spice box) ... Took an hour to open up and could've used at least an hour in decanter. Start drinking now and enjoy over the following 20 years. It has the stuffing

Drinking beautifully. Still young with fruit but will become amazing with 10+ years

2005 vintage. Old-school chunky St. Emmie. Decanted and tasted after 30 mins and one hour. Medium-heavy bod. Slightly dirty finish. Nice concentration on that back-end and should hold up in this capacity for another decade.

17 yr. Grand Cru. Still holding together with tannins and fruit still doing their job. Nice earthy nose. Suspect it even has a few more years left.
