A little bit of history - Pomerol was originally planted by the Romans but fell into disrepair and neglect until the 17th and 18th Century. The total area of Pomerol is only 800 hectares. This wine is plummy and very earthy and so enjoyable. My notes said “This is why one loves Pomerol “.

A textbook color of ruby red. Terroir driven for sure, the nose is a plume of earth and pure red fruits. The palate has a gentle femininity to it, beautifully elegant and classy. The tannins are smooth as silk, the finish a persistent echo of the terroir.
