Old School Bordeaux here w/proper age strutting its stuff: mellow ruby/garnet, semi-opaque w/bricking on edges. This needed air to loosen up the predominant red fruit, as well as notes of black olives, leather, coffee, tobacco leaf, bit of herbs & spice - just kept getting better. Velvet on palate, refined, totally integrated & cohesive, but light on its feet in the old style. I say Drink Now - even considering this is from phenomenal vintage.

Proper claret. Dark fruit, leather, mineral. Nice structure—balanced acidity, softening tannins, medium finish. Aging lesser bottles can really pay dividends.
