1979 vintage. Solid fill. Saturated cork but easily out with a Durand. Decanted and tasted after 15 mins-1.5 hrs. Much less sed than expected. Super funky nose immediately in the decanter but blew off after 5 mins. Light-medium body. A little chunky on the finish with more fruit than you’d suspect given the vintage. Not improving and likely to hang about in this zone for another 3-4 years before encountering another drop off. Was likely at peak approx in the early ‘90’s and has been stubbornly fighting the good fight since. 2.2.24.
