Dense red fruit, rich and oak still has not integrated. Needs another 20+ years

Plush and flashy with loads of ripe dark fruit. Merlot done right. This took about 3 hours to reach an expressive state but once it did it was damn good. More hedonistic than humble with zero fucks given. The final glass was a sediment prospector's dream.

Still surprisingly big fruit - bigger than the last bottle I had. Nothing wrong this other than lacking a bit of complexity. Very enjoyable.

Back in Pomerol tonight. Just a lovely and lively Clos with an elegant sweet nose and palate. Tannins are soft and finish is excellent. A lovely representation of Pomerol in its prime drinking window.
