Just tasting today after being opened on June 21st, 2019. East facing vineyards. Appetizing freshness and purity if not overly complex.

The fruit, ripe, dark red fruits, gorgeous, sexy body, expression roast, dark rich earth, stones, a little spice. Balanced acidity and well polished finish. Buy.

Bewitching #bordeaux - second wine of 5th Growth Château Clerc Milon. After decanting, distinctive and pronounced #paulliac graphite, dusty cassis nose. Lovely brightness on palate, genteel tannins, and a long finish with that pencil lead foundation throughout. That acid-leaning balance makes it a meal-friendly wine and not just the usual suspects - it worked well for a my mild spice fish burrito with poblano peppers.

1 hour decanting. Good aroma. Black currant and black currant flavor. Enough concentration which is expected more in future. 2016 @3600, Fwine - D Ruth Chris, 201019-201029

Deep dark purple heavyweight. Blueberries and blackberries, greenery, black olive, black pepper, some nuttiness midway quickly gives way to the dry pucker. Some lingering floral notes on the nose. Lay her down baby... 93 points

This is very good and of course very young. It is rich and dark red in the glass with a great nose of cigar tobacco, spice, leather and red berries. The palate is youthful but approachable and the fruit sits above other more complex flavours at this stage. There is also some pepper and acidity which is not harsh but definitely present. Tannins are politely hanging around in the background and I think over the years this will all blend together to be a great wine. Score reflects the wine now but no doubt that will improve.
