Superb, opened 5 750s. Saw big bottle variation, 3 spectacular, 1 off and one really off bottle. Some cork seepage on the lesser btls. Shame…this was worth cellaring, the best on par with the finest super Ts anywhere and aging with light sour cherry, sweet tobacco and old leather notes that were so nice.

This Flacc is OTT. Bordeaux gestalt with a nose of Tuscany. Whiffs of thyme and sage, so many secondary aromatics over cedar and old, dry earth. Smooth as silk, brick-edged and tasting of red clay and old cherrywood. Needed only 20 mins in decanter to open wide. Drink up.

I’ve had this wine at least a dozen times but it wasn’t showing optimally tonight. It may be descending down the other side of the hill. Fruit, structure and weight were all less than expected.

Dark ruby, with aromas of plum jam and black cherry. In the mouth, rich and ripe cherry, chocolate, and sweet tannins that lay velvety in the tongue. Gorgeous.
