Valdez Family Winery St. Peter's Church Vineyard Zinfandel 2011

$44.99

The fantastic Valdez 2011 St. Peter's Church Zinfandel is a blockbuster Zin usually only available direct at the winery.  We have a small amount of this gem from one of our favorite Zin producers. 94 Points Brix26:  "This zin is a blockbuster. Deep dark purple and inky in color that almost looks like a petite sirah.  Vibrant and jammy, with black cherry flambé aromas that lead to powerful flavors of boysenberry, roasted anise and smoky pepper. Tannins are ripe but dense. Drink now through 2021." 93 Points Robert Parker:  "The Zinfandel St. Peter’s Church Vineyard looks more like Petite Sirah than Zinfandel. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by a wine with blockbuster-like richness and intensity, loads of incense, camphor and black fruits, full body and terrific purity. This gorgeous Zinfandel can be enjoyed over the next decade."

Beautiful Zinfandel, balanced with great fruit coming through. Not hot at all like so many Cali Zin, but instead lingers with jammy fruit
