The fruit for Turnbull's 2019 Oakville Reserve bottling comes entirely from the Fortuna and Leopoldina Vineyards. Located in Eastern Oakville, these sites are situated upon the famous volcanic red soils that the Oakville appellation is known for. The Fortuna Vineyard sits proudly on the alluvial fan at the base of the Oakville bench, and contributing red fruit and spice components. The Leopoldina Vineyard, high on the bedrock ridge above the Fortuna Vineyard, highlights structure, texture, and mid-palate weight.
