A fantastic Napa Cabernet from Turnbull Cellars. Highly recommended. 91 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Lots of plums, darker fruits, chocolate, and incense notes emerge from the Turnbull Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, a dense, sweetly fruited, pleasure-bent 2020 that’s already drinking nicely. It should keep for 8-10 years and should certainly put a smile on your face." 91 Points James Suckling: "Some dried-herb character to the baked blackberries and graphite on the nose. Rich, smooth and flavorful on the palate, swathed by dark cherries, cassis and firm yet juicy and polished tannins. Drink or hold." Made from all estate fruit from the Fortuna, Leopoldina, and Amoenus Vineyards, the Turnbull Napa Valley Cabernet is a great introduction to the Turnbull Winery. Winemaker Peter Heitz is garnering great acclaim for the work he's been doing at this small production facility, and it shows in this bottle. Of the vintage, Heitz says: “This wine captures the essence of where we farm in the Napa Valley. A wine of integrity, it’s a blend that we make to share at our own family table. A quintessential dirt to bottle wine that’s approachable at release and downright delicious." Robert Parker: "...Readers should check out Turnbull Wine Cellars without delay."
