96 points Very limited new Turley Zin release. 96 Points Robert Parker: "From the pure white soils/limestone terroir emerges the 2014 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard (15.8% alcohol). This is a warm area, but with cold soils, and the result is one of the great classics of Zinfandel from the Central Coast. The intensity of flavor, the colossal richness and the full-bodied power are totally concealed beneath a cascade of fruit. This multidimensional wine reveals gorgeous minerality, loads of black and red fruits, and even a hint of spring flowers. This is a stunner that is layered, extremely long, pure and heady. Drink it over the next decade. The Pesenti Vineyard was planted in the 1920s. "

Warming up for an upcoming Paso trip. Big, forward brambly, lightly herbal nose. Obviously a big wine, and well supported by very lively acid and medium- tannins. Lingering finish. Effortlessly paired to BBQ ribs, with the especially nice acid putting a bow on.

Elegant for Zin, alcohol is ever-present but not in the driver seat. Multitude of flavors and aromas, dare I say...complex?

Tried this blind and thought it was excellent. When it was revealed, I was happy to see it’s a wine I have in my own cellar. Very youthful purple in the glass, with a palate of fresh berries bolstered by peppy acidity. The finish is long and delicious, walking the line between sweet and savory.

Very good, though wish I’d opened this sooner—not fruit forward as I’d prefer. Still, great fleshy red and black fruit, a real beauty. Fair warning: this one’s fairly hot (15.8%) but doesn’t taste it at all.

The more of these I add, the more this app disappoints. How can it not find this accurately w/o me manually selecting? The wine itself I find ok. I thought these were supposed to be bigger. This one was better than the Hayne which surprised me. Better aromatics and still light given a Zin.
