Turley Fredericks Vineyard Zinfandel 2015

$39.99

Very limited Turley Zinfandel. 92 Points Robert Parker: "From another Sonoma site, the Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard (15.8% alcohol) is juicy, lush and full of fruit, with a dark ruby/purple color. It lacks the complexity of the Bedrock, but is still beautifully rich, offering loads of blackberry and black cherry fruit, full body and no hard edges, although it has enough acidity and tannin to give it structure and focus. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. This hillside vineyard was planted in 1937."

Catching up on a collection of bottles enjoyed at A-Basin off-season. Enjoyed the mild weather and time away from the routine. Dark ruby, a little hot on the nose, with dark fruits, cherry and leather. Still tannic for my tastes, and I presume this will be one to revisit in a few years.

Dried raspberry & plum on the front. Lush, leathery middle. Sweatery, dusty finish. Bittersweet cocoa powder, smoked fig, currant, & cassis. Full bodied & powerful for a Zinfandel. Medium acidity.

Very good drinking with friends. Fabulous Zin, well balanced and firm structure beneath. Lovely but not overpowering fruit made for good pairing with game.
